Community Guidelines

"Sambandha Matrimony is a respectful, secure platform dedicated to helping individuals and families find genuine life partners for marriage in Nepal and abroad. These Community Guidelines explain what is expected from every user and how we maintain a safe, trustworthy environment. By using Sambandha Matrimony, you agree to follow these guidelines. We may update them from time to time and will notify you of major changes."

1. Purpose of the Platform

Sambandha Matrimony is strictly for matrimonial purposes only. All interactions must be respectful, honest, and aimed at serious marriage proposals. The platform is not for casual dating, entertainment, or any other purpose.

2. Eligibility & Account Rules

You must be 18 years or older. Only one account per person is allowed. All profiles must represent real individuals using their true identity. Creating fake profiles, anonymous accounts, duplicate accounts, or impersonating others is strictly prohibited. Profile information (photos, bio, education, occupation, family details, etc.) must be accurate and up-to-date.

3. Respectful Conduct

We expect all members to communicate with dignity, respect, and cultural sensitivity. Allowed & encouraged: • Polite messages about marriage compatibility, family values, and future plans. • Honest sharing of background, preferences, and expectations.

4. Prohibited Content & Behaviour

The following are strictly forbidden on Sambandha Matrimony (in line with Nepal’s Directives for Managing the Use of Social Networks, 2023): • Creating or using fake/anonymous identities or profiles. • Posting, sharing, or commenting on content that spreads hatred, trolls, or harms social harmony based on caste, religion, ethnicity, gender, age, marital status, or any other protected category. • Any form of bullying, harassment, cyberbullying, insulting, or threatening language. • Obscene, sexually explicit, or adult content (photos, videos, messages, or links). • Content that promotes or encourages child labour, human trafficking, child marriage, polygamy, or any illegal activity. • Editing or misusing someone’s private photos/videos without permission. • Spreading false information, rumours, or disinformation. • Advertising or promoting prohibited items (drugs, gambling, weapons, etc.). • Any attempt at fraud, scams, financial exploitation, phishing, or impersonation. • Posting gruesome, violent, or disturbing content. • Violating anyone’s privacy or personal data. Explanation of Hate Speech (as per Government Directive): Any content that may lead to violence or disturb social harmony is considered hate speech and will be removed immediately.

5. Safety & Privacy

We take privacy very seriously. Personal contact details should only be exchanged after careful verification and mutual consent. Never share financial information, bank details, or send money to anyone on the platform. Report suspicious profiles immediately. We follow strict data protection standards (Privacy Policy).

6. Grievance Redressal (Complaint Process)

If you see any violation: • Report the content/profile directly from the app/website. • Our team reviews reports within 24 hours. • Serious violations are escalated to our Nepal-based Point of Contact. 7. Consequences of Violation

Depending on the severity, we may: • Warn the user • Remove content or profile • Suspend or permanently ban the account • Report serious offences to relevant authorities (as required by Nepali law) Decisions are final, but you have the right to appeal within 7 days.

8. Updates to Guidelines

We may update these guidelines to reflect changes in law or platform needs. Continued use of the platform after updates means you accept the new version.
